Hey guys! Capt. Anthony here with our September fishing report:
The past few days have been absolutely insane with tons of sailfish pouring through. There has been a hard color change in 100-200 feet of water, with ripping northeast current. The sailfish have been surfing the waves down sea known as tailing, and have been super hungry. Hopefully it keeps up!
Offshore wise, the dolphin fishing has been hit or miss. We have had a few good days of dolphin fishing with catches up to 30 fish and weighting around 10-20 pounds. It hasn’t been consistent at all though. Hopefully if this water temp comes down a few degrees, i think the dolphin fishing will get good again and have a late run of them into the winter months. The blackfin tunas have been the only super consistent fishing for the past few months. We have been catching some nice ones on live bait and on the troll, weighting upwards of 15 pounds.
The reef has been pretty good as well. The mangrove fishing has been good on the edge of the reef in about 40 feet of water. Also the yellowtail fishing has picked up as well. Here in the next month bottom fishing is going to be stellar. There are monster sharks on the reefs and wrecks as well.
Stay tuned for more reports. Check out my Facebook and Instagram accounts for updated reports and pictures as well!
Get tight and stay tight,
Capt. Anthony
