Offshore: Dolphin fishing is not red hot yet but is getting better everyday, more and more schools are showing up as well as larger fish mixed in. Tuna numbers are improving on the humps and their size and numbers will also improve as we move closer to the heart of summer. Amberjacks and big tiger sharks are also living on the humps this time of the year.
Reef/Wreck: Yellowtail snapper fishing is as good as it gets in the summer months as well as a decent number of mutton snappers on the reefs and deeper wrecks in the area. May 1st is opening of grouper season so I anticipate decent numbers of black, red, and gag groupers on the deeper reefs and wrecks in the area.
Inshore: Tarpon fishing is getting better by the day and should be a reliable option all throughout the summer. Sizes ranging from 50-150 pounds and some larger fish mixed in. There are also an appropriate number of sharks inshore such as lemon, bull, and nurse sharks if that is an area of interest to yourself.
